Apotheosis was the first work of Aversion to Mankind.
I started working on it in 2010, trying to define a sound that will characterize the new journey after eding Hopeless. It was not an easy task. Finding the right distortion, a deep and forceful drum sound, and being able to create an immersive atmosphere took me more tiem and effort than the songwriting process itself. By the way, I have never considered songwriting as a task, but rather as a result of the spontaneity, of the inspiration and the emotions present in each moment, and thats how I write my songs.
First came "Nichts" which was composed and recorded, experimenting with an acoustic guitar simulator, and so, on until completing the four songs of the EP.
The name Apotheosis was chosen as a symbol of the end of a musical stage, and therefore personal, and the beginning of another.
